Αρχαία οχυρή πόλη των Περραιβών στη Θεσσαλία. Βρισκόταν στην αριστερή όχθη του Πηνειού ποταμού, στην είσοδο των Τεμπών. Ερείπια της πόλης βρίσκονται στο χωριό Μπαλαμούτι του Τιρνάβου. Στις ανασκαφές του 1910, βρέθηκαν 700 επιγραφές από τις οποίες οι μισές περίπου είναι ψηφίσματα και αναθέσεις στην Αθηνά Πολιάδα. Μέρος των επιγραφών αναφέρεται επίσης στον Απόλλωνα και στην Άρτεμη Λοχία. Εκτός από τις επιγραφές, βρέθηκαν και τμήματα μαρμάρινων αγαλμάτων και αγαλματίων, πήλινα αγγεία με εγχάρακτες επιγραφές, χάλκινες πόρπες, φυλαχτά, μαχαίρια, οικιακά σκεύη κ.ά.

Κωμόπολη (υψόμ. 90 μ., 2.190 κάτ.) του νομού Λαρίσης. Αποτελεί έδρα του νέου δήμου Γόννων.
